Welcome to this issue of EquiNews!

Summer is in full swing here in the Yukon. We are close to 20 hours of daylight per day now and the snow in the high mountains is melting fast.

The theme in this issue of EquiNews is equine dentists. The feature article will give you some guidelines for choosing a dentist for your horse. There are some pitfalls to watch for! Some of the things you should expect and questions you need to get answers to are included.

The TIP this month talks about how to deal with your nervousness so you don’t give it to your horse! You don’t want him to be afraid of having his teeth worked on and one way to do that is to ensure you aren’t!

The FAQ is one I often get about how long after a horse has had his teeth floated before he can do normal things again.

The Word Definition in this issue is in regards to a very important dentistry tool.

So sit back and enjoy the read! I hope you find this issue helpful and informative. Thanks for taking the time to learn more about your horse and his mouth.

All the best in all your horse ventures!
